Kalen DeBoer wins on recruiting trail again with latest four-star commitment

Kalen DeBoer is picking up right where Nick Saban left off at Alabama — on the recruiting trail at least.

His 2025 Crimson Tide class is slowly but surely filling in, and it just picked up another big-time addition. Abduall Sanders, a four-star linebacker from Santa Ana, California, recently announced his commitment to Alabama.

Importantly for the Crimson Tide, it sounds as if DeBoer was able to sell that he can keep the program as a championship contender moving forward. Saban may be retired, but DeBoer is clearly preaching that there won't be any fall-off.

“Bama just feels like home but I also believe in Coach DeBoer and his staff’s vision and I’m ready to get to work," Sanders told On3, regarding his commitment.

“I’m very close with Coach [Kane] Womack, Coach DeBoer and Coach [Courtney] Morgan, and they plan to develop me into a player that can possibly build the team and continue the winning tradition at Bama."

Sanders is ranked as the No. 36 linebacker in the 2025 class, per the 247Sports composite.

He chose Alabama over Ohio State and Tennessee.
