AFC exec had two-word reaction to Chiefs drafting Xavier Worthy

The Kansas City Chiefs landed possibly the fastest player in NFL history in the first round of the draft on Thursday night, and at least one rival executive is not looking forward to facing the wide receiver.

Fans were left stunned when the Buffalo Bills traded the No. 28 overall pick to the Chiefs. Kansas City then used the pick on former Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who ran the fastest 40-yard dash time in NFL Combine history this year.

Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report says he received a very blunt message from a general manager of an AFC team after the Chiefs drafted Worthy.

“F— me,” the GM said.

Obviously, that general manager knows how dangerous Worthy could be if he lives up to his potential in Kansas City. The speedy wideout has drawn comparisons to Tyreek Hill, who tortured opposing defenses when he was catching passes from Patrick Mahomes in Andy Reid’s offense.

If that element of Kansas City’s passing game returns, defenses will be in even more trouble.

The Chiefs are the team the Bills have not been able to get past in the postseason in recent years. By trading the 28th overall pick to Kansas City, the Bills may have made their path to the Super Bowl even more difficult.

That is why fans had such strong reactions to the move, and at least one AFC GM feels the same way.
