You just never know what Tennessee Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello is going to say during his post game press conferences.

Vitello is as a candid as it gets. If he's thinking it, he's probably going to say it.

On Thursday night after Tennessee's series-opening win against Missouri, Vitello attempted to quote former NFL superstar Marshawn Lynch.

And he almost had it.

"Marshawn Lynch, I think, is the great American philosopher," said Vitello. "I think he said ‘you’re gonna get got, but I’m not gonna get got’ or whatever he said. He can say it better than I can. He got got a couple times, but he’s done pretty well since then.”

“I don’t know which is more difficult. I’m having a difficult time trying to remember that exact quote," added Vitello. "I’m going to go watch that on YouTube as soon as we get done."

"I know I’m going to get got, but I’m going to get mine more than I get got, though," is the exact quote that Lynch dropped during his playing days.

Here's the clip of Vitello's exchange with the media on Thursday night (via Rocky Top Insider's Ryan Schumpert).

Vitello is one of the truly great characters in college baseball. Not only is he one of the best baseball coaches in the nation, but he's easily one of the most entertaining, too.
