Athletic Bilbao defender Yeray Alvarez says everyone needs to be at "100 per cent" for Saturday's Basque derby against Real Sociedad.

Los Leones are looking to put a run of wins together after last week's away victory against RCD Espanyol, and their home form will be crucial in their efforts to achieve European qualification.

"Every game from now until the end of the season is going to be extremely difficult, no matter who the opponent is," Yeray said at a press conference on Wednesday morning.

"La Real have had a very good year and are towards the top of the table, but in a home derby you have to give it your all. We're going to have The Cathedral behind us and that practically like playing with an extra player."

Yeray also stated: "There are still enough points in play for us to challenge for our objective. Every game is different and everyone has a lot at stake right now: the teams at the bottom want avoid relegation and those at the top want to qualify for their respective competitions.

"Everyone has their own fight and we're going to get stuck in to win ours. The aim is to get three points every matchday and stay as high up the table as possible."
